Explore Hua Hin
Travelling abroad is a unique opportunity to experience the greatness of life. Discovering a new culture is a good way to enlarge our minds and is finally a very relaxing experience. By staying at the Palada Guesthouse, you have chosen the perfect base to explore Hua Hin at its best. We are happy to share with you some travel tips in 3 dimensions:

Phaya Nakhon Cave
The magnificent Phraya Nakhon Cave is one of the most mystical and mysterious landmarks of Thailand but only a few travellers get a chance to take a picture of it. The reason is simple: this gold and green pavilion is hidden inside a hard to reach cave and only a handful of dedicated visitors will do the effort to visit it. Those who do are rewarded with a stunning vision that looks like it’s straight out of an Indiana Jones movie.
Phraya Nakhon Cave is located in the Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park in Prachuap Khiri Khan province, a 45 minutes drive south of Hua Hin. First step to reach the cave is to drive to the small village of Bang Pu located by the beach, and from there decide if you’d rather rent a boat to take you around the cape to Laem Sala beach, or walk a 30 minutes trek above the hill leading to the same Laem Sala beach. Since the boat ride only costs 150 to 200 baht per person and considering that you still will have to climb 430 m of uneven and steep steps we recommend you save your energy and take this short ride to the cave. You can also combine a boat trip to the cave with Monkey Island, ask at the pier.
Hin Lek Fai Hill
Hin Lek Fai Hill is about 3km west of Hua Hin town. A trip up the steep road to the top provides a scenic view of the town, the beach, the Gulf of Thailand and the Royal Hua Hin Golf Course. There is a small park and bird conservatory on the hilltop, with trails leading to six viewpoints.
The road up to Hin Lek Fai Hill is steep but manageable if you drive a car. Going up with a motorcycle might be a challenge, but enthusiastic cyclists find the steep road here a good practice. Once you get to the top, the road levels out and the ground becomes relatively flat.

Hua Hin Railway Station
Hua Hin Station has been considered to be the most beautiful station in Thailand. Therefore, it is popular as a landmark and photo spots of Hua Hin for visitors.
The original station building was built in 1910, and rebuilt in 1926, by Prince Purachatra Jayakara (former commander of the Royal State Railways of Siam) to the current Victorian building today.
On the premises, there is an old 305 Unit Baldwin steam locomotive on display.
Currently, the station is still in service and offer regular trains to the South and back to Bangkok.

Hua Hin Night Market
Hua Hin night market is famous for its seafood restaurants amongst all Thailand. But unlike other night markets, in Hua Hin, you will find a fair choice of handycrafts, clothes, souvenirs and other products at local price.
Tip: Start at the crossing of Phetkasem Avenue and Soi 72, then go up browsing the left side of the market. Arriving at the end of the market (Railway street) go down and browse the other side.
